This model demonstrates some advanced ObjectGears functionalities, especially workflow and scripting, in an example of application, that is supporting process of access rights assignment. The model is described in the help section Case studies.
The model enables keeping records about systems containing user accounts, applications and roles used in them. The user can request an application role, assignment of which is subject of approval by a manager and role or application owner, if they are defined. Managers and owners get a task assigned within ObjectGears system, which involves also email notification. They can approve or reject the request. The users can view status of their requests.
